Blazing Saddles - 2026
Blazing Saddles — August 8th, 2026 - A Tremendous Success!
Success comes when a group of people comes together with a clear vision, strong communication, and a shared commitment to working toward a common goal. That was certainly the case with Blazing Saddles 2026.
Kudos to our event committee members who upped their game and to every volunteer who contributed their time, energy, and talents to make this event such a tremendous success. Your teamwork and dedication truly made a difference. We had our fastest setup, an outstanding group of volunteers, and exceptional organization for an event that hosted approximately 200 participants.
We were fortunate to receive Foxs23 news coverage, which helped us deliver an important message: suicide is preventable, and those who are struggling are not alone. We are here to make a difference, raise awareness, and let people know that hope and support are available.
A special thank-you to Bixby Bicycles for supporting our cause. Team Suicide Prevention sincerely appreciates your continued commitment.
The early morning breeze set the tone for a beautiful day and thankfully the triple-digit temperatures didn’t arrive until after the event was over!
A sincere shoutout to Tyrone Nichols, who provided the sound system and music from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. His contribution created an atmosphere of energy and joy throughout the day.
A special thank-you to PT Solutions, Chris Caspey, and their staff, for providing free massages to our participants. We also appreciate all of our sponsors who generously donated products and services that greatly contributed to a great experience for our riders.
TSP is also proud of our young volunteers. Pierce Gibbons, and her friends worked throughout the day—helping with setup, assisting during the event, and staying through tear-down. Jonathan Hedgecock, 15 years of age, also stepped up and assisted his mom, Sharon Hedgecock, at the Mounds rest stop. To all of the young men and women who volunteered throughout the day, thank you! Your willingness to serve and be part of something bigger than yourselves was inspiring.
One of the most rewarding parts of Blazing Saddles was seeing the camaraderie between generations. Young and old worked together, rode together and supported one another. That is what makes these events so special.
It was truly a great day, and we are proud of what we accomplished together.
Many thanks to all who both participated and supported this outstanding family event.
Thank you
