**At Team Suicide Prevention, we understand that suicide is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on families, friends, and entire communities.
Our mission is to break the silence surrounding this critical issue, offering vital resources, coordinating awareness cycling events, and fostering a supportive network for those at risk. As we prepare to race in one of the toughest endurance challenges, we aim to raise awareness for suicide prevention and honor the dedicated individuals on the front lines of this battle, spreading hope**
**Among our most meaningful initiatives is the creation of Hope and Healing Program. This program designs packages for families grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide and to
individuals that are navigating their way though a personal suicidal crisis. Each package is a thoughtful collection of items aimed at providing comfort to a healing soul, offering resources for a grieving spirit, and includes handwritten letters and phone numbers to other individuals that have recently walk thru their own crisis, to combat loneliness. We believe in the power of compassion and connection, and these care packages serve as a heartfelt reminder that no one has to face their struggles alone. Together, we can support those who are enduring one of life’s most challenging journeys.**
Each of the packages is personalized, hand packed with prayers and tender care. The cost of each Hope & Healing Car Package is about $130. Your partnership and donations will help this mission carry on allowing us to reach over 1,000 more families and individuals who need us most.
May Is Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, an annual event started by Mental Health America way back in 1949. It’s all about showing how important mental well-being is, educating people, getting rid of the stigma, and supporting those who struggle with mental health issues. Every year, people and groups come together to raise awareness and fight for better mental health care and resources.
Mental health awareness is super important because it helps reduce stigma, encourages early intervention, and promotes empathy and understanding. When we talk openly about mental health, we create a more compassionate society where people feel comfortable reaching out for help. And guess what? That leads to better mental well-being for everyone!
